Edel’s Story: Finding Fitness, Energy & Balance as a Busy Mum
Before joining Clarke Fitness, I felt completely unmotivated when it came to my own health and fitness. Like many mums, my time and energy were focused on looking after my three young boys, and my own wellbeing had taken a back seat.
Trying to find time to get to the gym felt almost impossible. Between work, school runs, and family life, I struggled to stay consistent. I had joined other gyms in the past, but after a few months, I would lose momentum and fall out of routine.
That all changed when I joined Clarke Fitness.
Finding Something That Actually Fits

The small group personal training at Clarke Fitness has been a perfect fit for me. One of the biggest differences is the flexibility — there are plenty of class times available, which makes it much easier to stay consistent.
For me, the 6:45 AM sessions have been a game changer.
I can train early in the morning without impacting family time. I’m home just as the rest of the house is waking up, and I still have plenty of time to get ready for work and organise the school run. It fits seamlessly into my day, which has made all the difference.
More Than Just a Gym
One of the things I love most about Clarke Fitness is the atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly, and it genuinely feels like a community. You’re not just another number — you feel supported, encouraged, and part of something.
That environment has helped me stay consistent, even on the days when motivation is low.

The Results Speak for Themselves
I’ve honestly been surprised at how quickly I’ve seen results.
I’ve dropped weight
I feel stronger
My energy levels have increased
I’m sleeping better
I feel more motivated to stay healthy
But more than anything, I feel better in myself — both physically and mentally.
My “Why”
My biggest motivation is my family.
I want to stay healthy, active, and full of energy so I can keep up with my three energetic boys. That’s what drives me to keep showing up.
Fitness is no longer something I “try to fit in” — it’s now a part of my daily routine.
Fit at Forty
“Fit at forty” has become my motto.
This isn’t about quick fixes — it’s about building a lifestyle that allows me to feel strong, healthy, and confident for the long term.
Final Thoughts
I would highly recommend Clarke Fitness to anyone who is looking for a relaxed but motivating environment where you can work towards your own personal goals.
If you’ve struggled with consistency in the past like I did, this could be exactly what you need.
